ABOUT THE CALCULATOR

This cool little tool will help you quickly identify how to price your products on eBay to ensure that you make a profit. This calculator should be used to make quick decisions about how to price your products, but should not be the final accounting procedure to determine actual profits. Please use the eBay sales tracker tool for your final calculations. The most successful Simplx sellers on eBay price their products to produce a $10 profit. Once you have found a product you would like to sell, enter the appropriate numbers in the calculator to see what your profit will be. You can adjust the final selling number price based on your own research of what the average selling price is for that product in either a buy it now selling format or an auction selling format. If you prefer to skip the research process of determining the average selling price to save time and just want to know the most competitive price point you can use to sell the product on eBay you may adjust the final selling price field until the profit field displays $10.

INSTRUCTIONS

• Auction Type: Choose auction or buy it now based on the selling format. If you choose buy it now you need to select the category that you would list your product for the proper calculation of eBay's final valuation fees.
• Simplx Commission: After you have identified which Simplx merchant you have chosen to use to ship your product please enter the appropriate commission you will receive from that merchant.
• Credit Card Cash Back: There are plenty of reward and cash back programs for credit card that pay at least 1%. Some Simplx members have cards that pay more. Enter the appropriate credit card cash back you will receive when making your purchase.

• Cost to Door (CTD): After you have located the Simplx merchant you want to use to fulfill your order you will need to calculate what your total cost would be after the selling price, applicable shipping, and applicable tax.
• Final Selling Price: Enter the average selling price for the item based on eBay's completed listings or based on a $10 profit.

CALCULATOR LOGIC

Each field on the Simplx calculator is used to determine your bottom line profit after selling a product on eBay and using PayPal as your method of collecting payment from your buyer. This calculator is for demonstration purposes only and should not be the final accounting method used to determine actual profit or loss. The latest eBay fee scheduled used for calculating final valuation fees for both auction listings and buy it now listings are applied to the final selling price entered on the calculator. The PayPal fee calculation used is based on a monthly sales volume of at least $10,000. If sales are less than $10,000 then actual PayPal fees may be .3% to .7% higher than what is used in the calculation. Some merchant purchases in the Simplx network provide commissions based on the total purchase price, while some merchants may provide commissions based on the net purchase price which could exclude applicable shipping costs and sales tax. For purposes of simplification the calculator applies the Simplx commission to the total purchase price. The actual profit could be lower if the Simplx commission is paid on the net purchase rather than the total purchase.
